Containing all playable classes and the Tyranny of Dragons campaign originally launched on PC, Neverwinter on Xbox One will host several other console-specific features, including optimized controls and friends list integration. Perfect World Entertainment has confirmed the Xbox One will get additional content after launch.
Set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, Neverwinter allows players to explore and fight enemies in the titular city and surrounding countryside with their friends.
Registration for the upcoming closed beta is open now and can be done by visiting the official Neverwinter website. The completed Xbox One version is expected to launch as a free-to-play game for all Xbox Live Gold members in early 2015.
A recent survey by the Game Developers Conference shows that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are gaining ground on the PC.26% of surveyed developers said they’re working on a PS4 game, and 22% said they’re working on an Xbox One game. Those numbers are well up from last year’s 14% and 12%, respectively, and it makes sense as more and more current-gen consoles make their way into consumers’ hands. For example, the
PS4 has sold over 18.5 million units.PC still rests at the top, with 56% of devs saying they’re working on PC games, though that number grew only 3% from last year.
To be clear, the survey’s numbers don’t represent exclusive games only. It’s entirely possible, and common, for devs to release a game across all platforms.
For its yearly snapshot of the game industry, GDC polls more than 2,000 North American game developers. GDC 2015 takes place on March 2-6.

New Advanced Warfare Zombies Trailer Teases Breakout Story
The latest Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo-Zombies video shines some light on the mode’s backstory and shows off its all-star cast in action
According to the trailer, Atlas Corporation drops a bomb with the hopes of finishing a war. Instead, it unleashes a “freak show.” Indeed, we do see tons of augmented zombies tearing through hallways and wrecking everything in sight.
Last month, Activision revealed that Exo-Zombies would include John Malkovich (Con Air), Bill Paxton (Aliens), Rose McGowan (Grindhouse), and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) as Atlas employees.
In the new trailer, Malkovich is seen mopping floors when he notices a blood stain on the floor. McGowan appears to be a security administrator. Paxton looks like a high-ranking executive. Bernthal seems to be a security grunt.
Advanced Warfare’s Havoc DLC comes to Xbox One and Xbox 360 on January 27. It will come to PC, PS4, and PS3 sometime after.
