Hello Reaper,
A new week full of awesome news is here. Few big patches, some new remastered releases, and some teases of some of the biggest fall games can be seen below.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 Release Date Announced

Red Dot Studios has revealed that Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 is coming out next month, “probably” on April 14.

CMS 2015 puts you in the role of a mechanic, repairing cars for demanding clients as you slowly expand your repair service empire. You can also buy junk cars to renovate and sell at a profit, or become a car collector.

Missions are randomly generated, and a visual tuning feature – new to the 2015 edition – allows you to replace and fine-tune car parts. There are 16 base car models, and “additional DLCs currently in development” will no doubt add more to the line-up. CMS 2015 was successfully Kickstarted last month, earning over $18,000 USD. When it comes to simulating things in the video game world, “car mechanics” probably isn’t the first thing to come to mind – but nevertheless, the 2014 edition sold some four million copies, with Red Dot claiming that it was the best-selling simulator game in 2014.

I think i used to play something like this back in early 2000’s. I remember taking engines apart by clicking on bolts. I actually kinda liked it. I’m also pretty sure that i downloaded it for free during the kazaa/napster heyday.

Strike Vector EX Landing on PS4 and Xbox One

Strike Vector, the fast-paced aerial combat game from Ragequit Corporation, is headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One “soon.”

Debuting first on PC, Strike Vector is a futuristic dogfighting game featuring shape-shifting jets and complex weapon combinations.

We reached out to Ragequit about whether or not the console version, Strike Vector EX, will differ at all from Strike Vector on PC, and the team isn’t saying anything yet. They do promise more news soon, though.

I played this game a lot during closed beta, was going to buy it but the community shriveled up. Not sure how it will translate to consoles, Stick isn’t near as precise or as fast as a mouse. This game is a lot of fun and I can’t wait to play it on consoles.

New Conker Game Coming to Project Spark April 23

The naughty little scamp known as Conker the Squirrel is returning in a play and create experience inside Microsoft’s Project Spark on April 23.Developed by Project Spark creator Team Dakota with the Project Spark engine, ‘Conker’s Big Reunion’ will be an ongoing episodic series set ten years after after Conker’s 2001 adventure Bad Fur Day. Just like that last outing, Conker’s Big Reunion will have a distinctively adult flavor, and focus on a washed-up Conker trying to get himself together to attend a reunion with his friends at the er, ‘Cock and Plucker’.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSBMgJ-kpjA

“We currently don’t have our ESRB rating back so we’re not sure, but the focus was to be true to the Conker spirit” said Conker’s Big Reunion Creative Director Henry Sterchi of the game’s tone. “This meant self-deprecating humor, jokes referencing the original, game jokes and parodies, partying, some adult language, acting quite silly, a bit of violence, and a lot of poo of course. Conker has always had a wit to the humor and we focused a bit more on the layered joke approach this go around, but there’s definitely some shock value moments and a bunch of “I can’t believe he/they just said that” types of laughs.” Conker fans will be happy to hear Chris Seavor is returning to voice Conker, and Team Dakota has worked closely with original Conker developer Rare throughout the development process.

“When the opportunity for Conker came up, we reached out [to Rare] and shared our general plan to make sure we were on the right track”, said Sterchi. As we got near E3, we knew we needed the original Conker, so we reached out to Chris Seavor, who was no longer at Rare. When we shared the plan and showed him what Project Spark was, he was excited to bring in Conker. Rare gave us all the original assets we’ve needed, including the original music. Pretty much everything from tone, to scenarios, to music, etc. Rare has given feedback and help all along the way, it’s been tremendous. They really care immensely about the characters and giving them to the fans to create with.”

The  Conker Creation Pack will give Project Spark players approximately 300 Conker assets – characters, props, terrain materials, effects – inspired by Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Remastered original music and audio files will also be available to play with. The inclusion of Conker in Project Spark was announced at Microsoft’s E3 conference last year, and marks the first time an external IP has been made available inside the game making software. “It all started with a Twitch stream and a tweet. Phil Spencer had just been on our Twitch channel playing Project Spark games people made and got a tweet earlier on asking to put Conker into Spark. Everyone thought it was a great idea and that started to get the ball rolling”, said Sterchi. “The team was really excited because there was a lot of love and nostalgia around Conker (funny enough, one of our designers was even a tester on the original way back). Conker broke so much new ground back in the day. From breaking the 4th wall, to the quality and richness of the characters and world they created, to the humor, and what was one of – if not the first real “reluctant hero”.

“Ultimately…it was the freedom of expression and unleashing the unexpected that made Conker a perfect fit for Spark because that is really what Spark means to our creators. Conker is that personified!”

The Conker play and create experiences will be available individually and bundled as digital downloads via the Project Spark marketplace on April 23.

I know nothing of Project spark, but i love Conker.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation Gets Full PC Release Date

Carmageddon: Reincarnation will release in full for PC on April 23, Stainless Games has announced. The British studio’s gory racer has been on Steam Early Access for just under a year.

The release proper will include at launch a 16-chapter career mode, 8-way multiplayer (LAN or online), 24 vehicles, 9 maps and 36 race routes. Kickstarter backers who helped the game achieve $625,143 in crowdfunding will also receive a Special Edition Red Eagle vehicle among other rewards. Carmageddon: Reincarnation is also due to come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to the game’s official Twitter feed, there’s no further word on a release date for the console versions.

One of the first games i played on PC was the original Carmegeddon. I think the Modded cars we downloaded was half of the fun. Excited for this to come to consoles for a few bucks.

Star Citizen’s Latest Update Introduces New Ships and ‘Significant Changes’

Star Citizen, the massive spaceflight simulator from Wing Commander series creator Chris Roberts, received new ships and a slew of serious updates with its latest patch.

Update 1.1 adds Aegis Dynamics Retaliator to the Hangar and the Gladius light fighter is now available for combat in Arena Commander. It also introduces a manual, a long list of fixes for known issues, gameplay tweaks and the roll out of a number of major systems, such as the dynamic damage system. The system was launched with the Gladius and “will eventually be applied to all old and new ships.

The new dual mode Landing System allows players to switch between manual and automatic landing: “Practiced pilots may find they are able to achieve a quicker touchdown in Manual mode than would be possible in the more safety-conscious Automated mode, but they will have to do so without any autopilot assists. Pilots can switch between these modes at any point during the landing process in case they become overwhelmed by the demands of Manual mode or frustrated by Automated mode’s hand-holding.”

As the patch introduces “significant changes,” users are required to reinstall the entire game client.

Guitar Hero Reportedly Coming to PS4, Xbox One

It looks like Guitar Hero will be coming to the current gen. European magazine Gamereactor printed the news on its website, only to take it down soon thereafter, but not before it was captured for posterity on NeoGAF. According to an invitation sent out to German media outlets, the game is set to be announced in “Hamburg Rock City” on April 1. Rumors first began to surface at the end of February, with a Rock Band reveal expected for E3 2015.
plastic instruments are back this year.

Raven Software Teases More Singularity

Raven Software has tweeted a mysterious image that could hint at the future of Singularity.

The tweet reads “We’re going back,” followed by the hashtag #Katorga12 — a reference to the Russian island that served as the setting of Singularity. It also included the image below.

CAzB8Z6VEAAYVpH

If you’re unfamiliar, Singularity was a Raven-developed first-person shooter released in 2010. Its story dealt with time travel, and the player could “rewind” objects. For example, a broken staircase could be made new again in seconds. This was the last full release from Raven before the studio began assisting with the development of various Call of Duty games, including Black Ops and Advanced Warfare. Founded in 1990, Raven is 25 years old this year.

I’m not familiar with this game but I’ve heard good things from people. Question is, will this be a remaster or a sequel.

Capcom Shares New Details on Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition

New information on Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition has just been revealed by Capcom.

In addition to improved graphics, which run in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will feature new playable characters, with Dante’s brother Vergil and Trish joining Nero and the iconic red-cloaked demon slayer. Capcom is also adding Lady, who can be swapped out with Nero during the campaign.

This remastered port of the action-heavy title that first launched back on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2008 is slated for release this summer and will be available as a digital download. On top of that, Legendary Dark Knight Mode, a wave-based horde mode which was only available in the original PC release of DMC4, will be included in this re-release as well. And if that weren’t enough, Capcom is also throwing in a batch of new costumes and skins, which will be reflected in the in-game cutscenes.

Another Remaster!!

Rainbow Six Siege Closed Beta Coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC

Ubisoft’s upcoming tactical shooter, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, is getting a closed beta on all platforms.

While the previously announced closed alpha is only available to PC players, the beta will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in addition to PC. You can pre-order Rainbow Six Siege for a guaranteed spot in the beta, or you can sign up on Ubisoft’s website to be placed on the waiting list. As with the closed alpha, signing up requires a valid Uplay account.

While it’s unknown when the closed beta will take place, the wait shouldn’t be too long, as Ubisoft already confirmed Rainbow Six Siege is coming this year.

Looking forward to this.

DESTINY DESIGNER JOSH HAMRICK LEAVES BUNGIE FOR BETHESDA

Josh Hamrick has departed from his position at Bungie as Destiny’s senior gameplay designer to take over as Senior Systems Designer at Bethesda.

Hamrick took to Twitter recently to thank his “Bungie family” and fans for his time at the company.  “I’ll miss Bungie more than words can tell, but I’m excited about both new challenges and being much closer to our hometown and our family,” saidHamrick.  In another tweet, Hamrick added, “Again, I need to say how much the team Bungie means to me. I’ve learned so much from them and made tons of lifelong friends during my stay.”

Hamrick spent around six years at Bungie, working on Halo: Reach and most recently Destiny. His departure for Bethesda Studios was confirmed in another tweet, though Hamrick did not go into detail about what projects he’d be working on or what title he would hold there.

PS4 AND PS3 CONSOLES GETTING SPOTIFY APP

Sony has announced its new co-venture with Spotify – dubbed PlayStation Music – is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles in 41 markets.

First announced earlier this year, the app will be automatically downloaded upon booting up your console. You won’t need a premium Spotify account or PS Plus subscription in order to use it so, as long as you have a console, it’ll be free. As with other versions of the service, opting to buy a premium account removes adverts and increases the quality of songs.

Spotify_20150326060801

The interface has been designed in order to be visually-led, with an emphasis on serving those who will have music on in the background while chatting with friends. All the features from the desktop edition are present, including genre playlists and suggestions that are updated in real-time throughout the day. You will, of course, also be able to build your own playlists.

PlayStation Music also enables you to decide what music you want to play during your games. The soundtrack to the game will be replaced by the tune of your choice but, pretty impressively, dialogue and ambient sounds will still be played over your custom soundtrack. Additionally, holding down the PlayStation button on the DualShock 4 brings up a mini menu, which enables you to navigate your songs or change them without having to quit your game and relaunch Spotify.

The new service is fully integrated with the Spotify Connect app too. This enables you to decide what device your music is playing through using your smartphone. In a demo I was shown the PS4 being selected for music input, and tunes began playing immediately with no lag. Once the gaming session was done, another button press switched the audio output to the phone’s headphone jack and we were free to go on our way still listening to the original playlist.

Spotify_20150326154412

Plans are still afoot for the service to arrive on Xperia smartphones and tablets in the future, but no timeframe has been offered. What I saw was pretty impressive, but the best part of it all is with no need for a PS Plus or Spotify premium account, there’s nothing to stop you trying it out later today and making up your own mind.

Can finally play music without bugging the people i play with.

STAR CITIZEN ANNOUNCES NEW SHIP SALE

Roberts Space Industries is slashing the price of its newly latest starship fighter. Star Citizen’s newly unveiled craft is a dedicated deep space fighter called the A3G Vanguard and  is on sale until April 6.

The Vanguard is being offered for the first time as a limited concept sale as it’is not yet ready to display in Hangars or to fight in Arena Commander. The sale price of US$250 comes with lifetime insurance and and a pair of decorative items for your Hangar. The price will jump to an announced price after the sale ends and will not offer lifetime insurance. The sale price puts it in the lower mid-teir bracket of ships. Star Citizen craft range in price from $45 for the Aurora MR AC Starter package to more than $400 for the frigate Idris-P, capitol ship Javelin or the luxury touring 890 Jump.

The Vanguard is one of United Empire of Earth’s (UEE) dedicated deep space fighters and units have been assigned to planetary bases and larger space stations. The ship features four high-caliber forward laser cannons and a massive central Gatling gun. It can be used in a variety of different roles such a long range jump scout, extended duration patrol/reconnaissance ship, fighter-bomber, tactical command and control ship, bomber interceptor and a fighter-killer. You can view the Vanguard’s full specs and stats on its overview page.
This game is getting ridiculous.

FREE DLC CARS WILL BE ADDED TO PROJECT CARS EACH MONTH

Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed that players of its upcoming crowdfunded racing sim Project CARS will receive a series of free DLC vehicles in the months following the game’s release.

The first cab off the rank, so to speak, is one of the most exclusive and expensive cars ever made – the W Motors Lykan Hypersport.

“We are immensely pleased to have this awesome machine in the game and to give fans the chance to get behind the wheel of a truly amazing vehicle,” said creative director Andy Tudor on the Project CARS website. “The Lykan Hypersport represents the first of a series of free cars we’ll be giving away every month as a thank you to our fans for being so patient for the launch of the game. We’ll have more info on the full schedule of further content for Project CARS soon but we hope that this is a great sneak peek of just one way in which Project CARS is going to expand in the future.”

Yeah, but how many cupholders does it have?

The W Motors Lykan Hypersport, which also made its way into Driveclub in November last year, is capable of 0-62mph in a mere 2.8 seconds, features diamond-encrusted LEDs in the headlights, and seems destined to be mostly famous for crashing out of one skyscraper and into another (while carrying Vin Diesel).

GEARS OF WAR DEVELOPER TEASES MOCAP IMAGE

Black Tusk Studios, the first-party Microsoft developer currently working on the next entry in the Gears of War franchise, posted a teaser image of its motion capture set.

The photo, which surfaced in a tweet by Black Tusk’s Jack Felling, showcases an actor holding one of the game’s imposing firearms.

Little is known about the next installment in Microsoft’s popular third-person shooter series aside from the fact that it may return to the series’ darker roots. Whether or not it will star series protagonist Marcus Fenix is still a mystery and, while fans have been holding out hope for a collection akin 343 Industries’ did with Halo compilation, it doesn’t appear Xbox One owners will be getting a Marcus Fenix collection anytime soon.

HALO 5: GUARDIANS RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED

In a new live-action Halo 5: Guardians TV ad airing during The Walking Dead tonight, Microsoft announced that Master Chief’s first native Xbox One outing will release on October 27, 2015.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHQiYPiNVEE

At the conclusion of the commercial, a still of which previously leaked, Agent Locke walks through a human city reduced to rubble, towards a statue of Master Chief. It appears that Locke is addressing the statue, but as he approaches, we see Master Chief, with a massive hole in the upper left shoulder of his armor, sitting wounded at the base of the statue. Locke angrily blames Chief for the destruction around them, saying he was humanity’s savior and now betrayer. He switches to his pistol and the commercial ends as Locke draws on Chief, and then we see a Halo 5 logo screen and a release date: 10.27.15.

A second ad then aired one hour later, showing the same events from Master Chief’s perspective with the roles reversed: Chief was walking towards a wounded Locke, asking him if “it was all worth it.” The commercial ends with Chief drawing his weapon on Locke.

And on that bombshell thats the end of the news.
