DEUS EX: MANKIND DIVIDED LEAK SUGGESTS
XBOX ONE, PS4, PC RELEASE

Square Enix’s sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution may have just leaked. Kanobu (via NeoGAF) revealed imagery and information on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, developed by Eidos Montreal, which is allegedly coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, and stars returning hero Adam Jensen fighting across the globe, including Czech Republic.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Actions from Human Revolution will not, apparently, carry over, as none of Human Revolution’s four endings is considered canonical. Screenshots suggest that Mankind Divided is once again a first-person action game featuring third-person cover, as well as cybernetic augmentation, giving Jensen the ability to deflect bullets, see through smoke with x-ray vision, and hack computers remotely.

Additionally, Jensen can augment his weapons with silencers, scopes, and other attachments. All of this plays into whether or not players decide to go in guns blazing, or with stealth, a la Human Revolution.

Last year, Square Enix revealed Deus Ex Universe as an all-encompassing franchise umbrella. We previously learned that it would not be an MMO, and saw some early concept art of the next game. The publisher has been teasing a new game since Monday via a Twitch ARG called Can’t Kill Progress.

Update: SQUARE ENIX OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES
DEUS EX: MANKIND DIVIDED

Square Enix has official revealed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The game will take place in 2029, that’s two years after the events of Human Revolution, and the Aug Incident that took place in Panchaea. Following the death of millions, a colossal rift has emerged between people with augmentations and those without, and in keeping with the political theme, there are other parties who plan to use the turmoil to further their own agenda.

“For 15 years, Deus Ex has been a point of conversation across the games industry and beyond,” says David Anfossi, Head of Studio, Eidos-Montréal, “whether the topic is the franchise’s unique gameplay or topical narrative focused on advanced biotechnology and human augmentation. What began with Deus Ex: Human Revolution goes to a whole new level in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, diving even deeper into this discussion and, in turn, offering fans an all-encompassing experience, one which will challenge their skills as players and emphasize decision-making based on real world topics.”

According to the press announcement, as social and political chaos reaches breaking point, the “super-augmented anti-terrorist agent” Adam Jensen returns, this time powered by new state-of-the-art augmentations.

We’re also told Mankind Divided will feature more player choice than ever before.

HOLY SHIT THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!!

2 “MASSIVE” EXPANSIONS ANNOUNCED
FOR THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT

Two story-driven instalments have been announced for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Unlike the already announced DLC, which CD Projekt is giving away for free, these expansion due to their size and scope will come with a price tag and will represent “real value for money”, according to CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński.

The first, Hearts of Stone, boasts a “10-hour-plus adventure” and ventures into “the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll [Geralt] try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed.”

Furthermore, a second expansion entitled Blood and Wine will offer a “20-hour-plus tale” which will introduce an entirely new region known as Toussaint. CD Projekt Red describes the land as “untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.”

Speaking to IGN, Iwiński said the new area of Toussaint will look, “extremely cheerful and normal, perhaps even too normal during the day. However, there will be a big secret there.”Hearts of Stone is expected sometime in October, while Blood and Wine is currently slated for release sometime in the first quarter of 2016. Both expansions will, of course, be available on all three platforms – Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4 – with no mention currently of platform exclusivity.

That’s a significant amount of gameplay, especially following on from the game’s senior designer, Damien Monnier, revealing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will take players over 200 hours to finish if they “do everything”. Iwiński compares the expansions above to add-on discs, significant expanded upon The Wild Hunt. “With the development of Wild Hunt coming to an end, the team has embarked upon the creation of two new really big adventures set in The Witcher universe.

“We remember the time when add-on disks truly expanded games by delivering meaningful content. As gamers, we’d like to bring that back. We’ve said in the past that if we ever decide to release paid content, it will be vast in size and represent real value for money.” Some of Iwiński’s comments indirectly refer to the 16 pieces of free DLC that have already been announced for the game. When they were announced Iwiński has spoke openly about the landscape “steeply priced” paid DLC, and how these small pieces of content where being offered for free to people who will have just picked up the game.

The expansions announced today clearly offer something much more substantial, a point emphasised by Iwiński: “Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there.”

Activision May Be Teasing Black Ops 3

Is Activision teasing the next Call of Duty title? A recent update may have the answer.

A YouTuber by the name of Drift0r released a video documenting the update, in which, strange symbols appeared as advertisements within Black Ops 2’s in game posters. After some digging by CharlieIntel.com, it turns out these symbols can be used in SnapChat to add a Call of Duty SnapChat account to the user’s friends list.

There’s not much on the Call of Duty account at the minute apart from a video with a voiceover which says “Listen only to the sound of my voice.”

Diablo 3 Patch 2.2.0 Adds New Treasures, Armor Sets and More

Blizzard’s newest Diablo III: Reaper of Souls patch is live today, with new treasure goblins, legendary items and an improved crafting experience on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.Patch 2.2.0 is now live in the Americas, according to Blizzard’s patch notes, and will be in Asia and Europe soon. Most of the improvements come to Diablo III’s Adventure Mode, including the addition of three new treasure goblins. Players can also increase their blood shard cap by earning new personal records in Solo Greater Rifts, the randomized dungeons in Adventure Mode. Blood shards, in turn, are spent on randomized items through Kadala in town areas. The patch also introduces new items –– including two new legendary potions, two new legendary gems, and new armor sets for the Wizard, Barbarian and Demon Hunter classes. Although Blizzard doesn’t usually modify legendary items, the new patch adjusted several to compensate for the class-item changes.

Lastly among the major changes, Patch 2.2.0 allows players to craft gems and items in quantities, instead of having to click through several individual items at once.
Time to jump in again to the loot.
